You Are Dying? Ask Your Doctor All Questions About Your Health at 13:00 ET [update: Complete]

This strange, recurring back pain has been bothering you for a while, but it doesn’t seem like enough of a problem to warrant a full appointment. You will need to ask for time off, to make sure you are not falling behind in anything – that would be a whole event. Why not just ask a doctor while here at Lifehacker?

At 1:00 PM ET, we will have Christopher Kelly, M.D., co-author of Am I Dying ?!: A Complete Guide to Your Symptoms and What to Do Next, to help you answer your health questions … questions that were spinning in your brain. (Chris’s co-author, Mark Eisenberg, M.D., FACC, usually joins us too, but won’t be here this week.)

To be clear, we do not recommend that you use Chris as a replacement for your IRL PCP, but if you have a question to answer, he will point you in the right direction. (Feel free to read some of his past questions and answers here , here, and here .)

If you need inspiration, here are some examples of questions he can help with:

  • I really have no appetite for breakfast and the thought of eating so early makes me nauseous. This is bad?
  • My doctor recommended [x medicines], but the dosage seems to be really high. What do you think?
  • For a couple of months now I have had a subtle, tickling cough in the back of my throat. Should I be worried?
  • What is this weird back rash?

Chris will be online for an hour starting at 1:00 pm, but you can leave your questions in advance if you wish. Eventually, he will get to them, presumably as soon as he completely puts on a white robe and an old mirror on his head .
