How to Clear YouTube History
Every time you watch a YouTube video, it is added to your YouTube story by default.
While this feature can sometimes be useful for finding that cool video you’ve watched previously (you can see a list of everything you’ve watched by clicking “Story” on the YouTube homepage), it can be problematic if you watch the video on the service. you would rather never see again.
Your YouTube browsing history is a private matter between you and Google, others will not be able to see your history when they visit your profile page. However, Google does use this information to make recommendations for you. This means you might still want to remove items, especially if watching that one Spice Girls video or the like skews your recommendations in a direction you don’t want it to. While this is something you may have been doing for a while, Tom’s Guide indicated that you cleared your history earlier this week.
To clear your YouTube browsing history, tap the hamburger menu (three lines on top of each other) in the upper-left corner of the page, and then select History from the drop-down menu.
When the new menu appears, select “Browsing History” and then tap “Clear All Browsing History.”
You can do the same on mobile by clicking on your profile instead of the hamburger menu, selecting History and then selecting View History from the menu.
