Use This Web Tool to Copy Videos From Tweets and Paste Them Into Your Own
These days, reaction videos have become cultural currency – they can cover your social media posts and become a comedy genre of their own. They’re especially popular on Twitter, but since Twitter doesn’t have the ability to save or copy videos from another person’s tweets, it’s hard to reuse a reaction video you’ve found in your own feed (unless you want to retweet someone else, that is).
At least that was before people in the Glitch app community created Tripper.
Tripper is a free PC web tool that lets you rip videos from other people’s tweets and post them to your own. (The name Tripper is an excerpt from Twitter video ripper). It’s very easy to use too:
- Go to http://twitter-video-ripper.glitch.me/
- Copy and paste the tweet link from the video you want to copy.
- Click Ride!
- After converting the video, you will be given a new video link that you can paste into your tweet.
We also recommend keeping a permanent list of links to tweets or videos that you might want to use later. Since you don’t download or save a local copy of the video directly, you need to hold onto the links if you want to easily find them again. And don’t forget to give credit to the content creators if you end up using someone else’s original videos.
