Make a Vinaigrette in a Nearly Empty Honey Bottle
Getting the last piece of honey out of the bottle can be tricky, especially if the bottle is bear-shaped (so many slots). Luckily, the amount of sweet and sticky stuff in the bottle is the perfect serving for a simple vinaigrette.
Just as we used booze to wash the walls of nearly empty jam cans , we can use the ingredients in vinaigrette to dissolve the honey stuck to the insides of our plastic bears. Just pour a quarter cup of oil, two tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice, and one tablespoon of Dijon mustard, along with any herbs or seasonings, into the bear. Cover it, shake until the honey dissolves, and use the bear’s handy nose to spread the sauce over a pile of greens, some stir-fried vegetables, or a rice bowl with a lot of vegetables.
