How to Decorate Your Front Doorway for Under $ 100
This spring, I want to freshen up my home outside. Maybe due to the fact that I spent most of the winter in a deep dark basement , as soon as winter came, I wanted to get out into the sun.
We replaced the old mulch with red crushed stone, planted new bushes and added new yard décor. With every small improvement, I feel the beauty of my home – and, in fact, its entire atmosphere – brightens. And it got me thinking about what is arguably the most important part of the house, the part we pay most attention to: the main entrance.
The front door is the center of the house; he may look tired and dull, or he may look fresh and attractive – and the great thing is that it doesn’t really take too much money (or sweat) to make him reappear.
So I set myself a challenge: how to freshen up an entrance with a budget of $ 100 or less?
Dye
If you’re going to do one thing to spice up your driveway, apply a fresh coat of paint to your front door. If you’re adventurous, enjoy the vibrant color. But even if you’re going to stick to the same color you have now, a fresh semi-gloss coat will take away all that weathered dullness.
(If you have a railing, they may also need fresh wool.)

Replace house numbers
Have your house numbers been around for as long as your house? Then there is a chance that they are cracked, tarnished, tarnished, or not very pretty. A little paint might be all you need, but wouldn’t a fresh set do the trick? As with anything, you can spend a little or you can spend a lot, but for our purposes, I’m going to pick a fairly standard set from a large box store (to save you shipping costs).
However, if you are looking to spend a little more, there are some great options on Etsy .
Cost: $ 17.92 ( $ 4.48 each, and I’m assuming you have four numbers in your address).
Get the door knocker
When we moved into our house, my husband’s aunt bought us a door knocker as a housewarming gift. Not sure if it ever crossed my mind to buy myself a door knocker, but heck, this thing looks good. It completes the door really nicely and, as a bonus, it’s great to have it in case your doorbell ever accidentally stops working and you can’t find the time / energy to get the electrician to figure out why (not that I would know).
If there is where you can spend a little money, then this should be what you need. If you can afford a good door knocker, buy yourself a good door knocker. But listen, we have a limited budget here and you can get a pretty cheap point .
If you are looking for a wider selection on the internet, I noticed Wayfair has something for every style. ( Cast iron door knocker with a cast iron skull , anyone?)

Change your welcome mat
This is not a place to go broke, and luckily, you can be cheap and welcoming at the same time.
You can go for a simple , daring, or slightly obsessed pet . Whichever route you take, you’ll be surprised how much a new welcome mat can freshen up your entrance.

Turn off the old porch light
It was so long ago that you don’t even notice it. After all, it serves its purpose, lighting your way as you try to lock the key late at night.
However, upon closer inspection, the item is outdated, probably covered in layers of dirt, and the coating underneath is scratched, tarnished and / or rusted. This is another area in which, if you have enough funds to get the job done, you can splurge on something a little more expensive.
But this one is very affordable and has a lot of positive reviews.
Price: $ 14.97
So our subtotal is $ 93.29. Now go and make your front door as attractive as the rest of the place.
