Which Apple Watch is Better?
It is difficult to choose the right model when there are so many of them on sale and prices vary so much, so let’s take a quick look at the differences between the various models.
The first thing to note is that all Apple watches included in Amazon discounts are float-proof, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. They also feature an accelerometer and gyroscope for motion tracking, a heart rate monitor as well as internal storage for installing apps, and GPS positioning. However, GPS-only models need to be tied to an iOS device to track movement, receive push notifications, and read messages – which means you need to carry your iPhone with you to use it even during exercise.
Cellular models, on the other hand, still have GPS tracking but do not require tethering and can be used as a standalone wearable device (although you can still connect it to your phone via Bluetooth), and some models even support Apple Music streaming. The catch is that Apple Watch cellular watches are more expensive and require a data plan, whereas GPS-only models don’t.
There are also differences between Series 3 and Series 4. Series 4 models have larger dials and screens, but thinner cases and much faster processors than Series 3. And while both series have optical heart rate sensors and digital crown control, the series 4 has an optional electrical heart sensor, automatic fall detection, and a digital crown. handling has been improved with haptic feedback.
We’d recommend taking route 4 – it’s simply the best device in every way, and much better for fitness tracking. However, if you’re trying to save some money or want a simpler wearable device, go for the GPS-only Series 3, which Amazon offers at an all-time low of $ 200 at time of sale. You will also notice that some colors or types of straps are sold at different prices than others, even in the same category – usually due to the materials the watch is made of or the strap, not differences in performance.
