Sign up for a Chance to Beta Test Mario Kart Tour on Your Android Phone Next Month
The highly anticipated Mario Kart Tour , the mobile version of Nintendo’s popular crossover racing franchise, is finally getting beta next month. More than a year has passed since the game was announced, so we are very pleased to hear that it will be playable soon if you meet the requirements of the application. Here are all the details about the upcoming beta, how to register, and the registration requirements you need to meet:
- Beta testing runs from May 22 to June 4 (7:59 pm PT).
- For USA and Japan only.
- Only available on Android smartphones running Android 4.4 or higher and at least 1.5GB of RAM. Android Q and Android tablets are not supported.
- Requires a Nintendo Account connected to a valid Gmail address. Here you can create a new Nintendo Account or link an email address to an existing one .
How to register
- Open the Mario Kart Tour website. If you are on a PC, you will see a QR code that you will need to scan with your Android smartphone to open the beta subscription page. You can skip the QR code by first loading the page in your phone browser.
- Read the information on the page.
- Scroll down and check the two boxes after confirming your Nintendo Account email address and Gmail address are the same.
- Click Apply with Nintendo Account, then complete all final instructions.
The beta has a limited number of seats and subscriptions are limited to one entry per account. Nintendo will randomly select members if they have more registrations than they have seats.
If you missed or did not qualify for the beta, you will likely be able to play the full version of Mario Kart Tour soon enough. The game was originally announced in early 2018 with a planned early 2019 release, but was later delayed until the Summer 2019 release period. Since the beta is taking place just a few weeks before the official start of summer, we hope the game will be available soon.
