Return Unwanted Amazon Purchases to Kohl’s
Kohl’s announced this week that starting in July, all of its 1,150 locations will accept unpackaged Amazon returns. So now, if you can’t figure out if all those five-star reviews are fake, you can simply order an item, decide for yourself, and inevitably return it – to the store this time. (Or you can just repack it and mail it back, as you have done all along.)
Kohl’s and Amazon began a partnership in 2017 for a pilot takeback program in 100 stores in Los Angeles, Chicago and Milwaukee. In July, all stores across the country will accept “eligible” returns, which means nothing is being sold from third-party vendors. (We recommend checking this with the Amazon Return Center before you head to the store.)
But before you hit the road, take note of this gentle reminder from our buddies at Gizmodo : “If you’re going to use Amazon’s Kohl’s return service, don’t worry about it.”
Workers are already underpaid and have more work to do to make your life easier. It’s a good rule of thumb not to be an asshole to employees in general, but we can all use a reminder sometimes.
So, if you have to overshoot on Amazon and then realize you don’t need half of them, let this added convenience brighten up your day rather than turn you into a legitimate asshole if Kohl’s employee tells you your refund isn’t up to par. requirements. “
(Better yet, buy locals.)
