Where to Donate to Help Victims of Christchurch Shooting
The city of Christchurch in New Zealand is rocking after a devastating terrorist attack on two mosques that killed 49 people. Here’s how you can help the community affected by this massacre.
Islamic Information Center of New Zealand
Writer Iskra Khan shared an extensive Facebook post on how best to support Muslims and communities that process news; there are two links in her posts for confirmed donations. One is for money that will go to the NZIIC – New Zealand Islamic Information Center . In their campaign, they write:
All proceeds will help meet the immediate, short-term needs of grieving families. No amount of money will return their loved ones, but we hope to somehow ease their burden .

New Zealand Council of Victim Support Groups
The New Zealand Council for Victim Support Groups also created a page on the New Zealand crowdfunding site Give A Little, but the site is likely to have technical problems due to the attendance at Christchurch:
You can check this link in the coming days to see if it comes back again.
Victim support
There is a valid “Give a Little” link to support victims who write that they “will use all donations received on this page to provide support and resources to people affected by the Christchurch shooting and their families.” According to Gizmodo, the money on the donation page is denominated in New Zealand dollars, which costs about $ 0.68 in US dollars, so keep that in mind when posting your deposit. Al-Manar Charitable Foundation
Spinoff says the Al Manar Charity Trust also accepts donations ; their website reads:
This is a simple help from the people of New Zealand to support affected families. A very tragic situation has developed in Christchurch. Many of our beloved brothers and sisters have been martyred.

Local groups
Khan also recommends contacting your local mosque or Muslim community organization to find out if they are collecting donations or planning charity events; if you are short on funds, this is an opportunity to offer your volunteer work to help.
