How to Stream Oscars Live
This Sunday is the Oscar. The red carpet coverage begins at 6:30 pm ET / 3:30 pm PT and the actual awards show starts at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT on ABC.
If you have a TV, the cheapest and easiest way to watch what is happening is to simply tune in to it. ABC is free to air using a digital antenna, and anyone with a basic cable TV subscription should have access.
If you don’t have a TV or are just spending the evening away from it, you still have options.
ABC app
ABC offers live coverage of the ceremony on BC.com as well as on the ABC app, but you need to sign in through your cable TV provider. If you have a cable but just be away from your TV during a show, this is probably your cheapest and easiest solution.
Streaming services
DirecTV Now, Hulu With Live TV, YouTubeTV, SlingTV, and FuboTV offer ABC live streaming in most markets, and all four offer free trials of their services. The key word here is “majority”, so make sure your realm is supported before subscribing to it.
If you forget to cancel this free trial, all four will run for $ 40 per month. PlayStation Vue also offers ABC in most markets, but prices are slightly higher at $ 45 per month. FuboTV also goes up to $ 45 per month after your first month.
What if I miss it?
If you miss the live stream, you can watch it on Hulu on Monday. It will also be available on the ABC website and in the app until March 3rd.
