Where Can You Find Jeans That Suit Your Athletic Bottom?
It’s pretty cool to lift enough weights or play hockey when you notice more muscle in your glutes and hips. But it’s not so great to get rid of your own clothes and notice that none of the pants in the store suits you anymore.
Pro hockey players are often unable to wear store-bought jeans, which we know becauseEmily Kaplan asked a group of hockey players about their buttocks . Luckily for them, a professional hockey player’s salary easily covers the cost of custom-made pants.
I know this fight too, thanks to years of roller derby and lifting, but I never found a great solution. When I asked my teammates for recommendations, they usually answered me: “I don’t know, I stopped wearing pants.” Leggings and skirts can take you pretty far in life, and many of the hockey players in Kaplan’s article said that sweatpants are their best option for covering your lower body.
But there are some brands that claim to be suitable for an athletic glute. Barbell makes jeans in mens and womens styles. Mugsy manufactures stretch jeans for men. SELF has collected several recommendations from women that include certain Gap and Old Navy styles with lots of stretch marks.
So I would like to hear from you! Have you found a brand that fits easily into your athletic body that is difficult to match? Are brands like Barbell and Mugsy worth it? Or, if you fit jeans by size, how much will it cost and are you happy with the result?
