Netflix Classic Is the Old School Netflix Experience in Your Browser
Visiting your family while on vacation often means doing a lot of things that you wouldn’t normally do at home. For me, one of those things is watching Netflix on my laptop. The room I’m staying in doesn’t have a TV, and the living room is too central for me to watch my traditional Netflix hour before bed without distracting the audience, so I started opening my MacBook on the bedside table. at night to satisfy the fix.
The Netflix Classic extension turns Netflix into something a little closer to what it once was. It removes hover effects and stops autoplaying videos. It also remembers who you are, so if you have multiple different profiles tied to your account, you don’t have to tell the computer what you’re watching and not your kids or spouse.
It’s not much different from the traditional Netflix experience, but it does things a little better.
