What’s in Store for and Out of Netflix in the Week of November 19, 2018
I have high hopes for Motown Magic (Tuesday), an animated series created by Smoky Robinson about an 8-year-old boy who “discovers he can bring street art to life.” The soundtrack is, of course, all Motown hits, so we might have a promising candidate for a “kid’s show that doesn’t drive parents crazy”!
Jiro Dreams of Sushi is back on Thursday and I can’t believe I ever left . Netflix is starting to gain traction for Christmas at the end of the week, which is expected but still depressing. On Thursday, you can gorge yourself on turkey and fixes, and then get overwhelmed by a curiosity called The Christmas Chronicles, described as a “new Christmas classic,” which I think we can all agree on is presumptuous for a movie starring Kurt Russell in the role of Santa.
