There are many apps and services out there to help you predict what the weather might be for a day or a week, but this week I came across a new one that lets you find out in a really useful way: in your calendar.
Weather Up, originally created by TechCrunch , is an iPhone weather app that offers your traditional regular 10-day weather forecast, as well as real-time weather maps and an hourly forecast of what you can expect for the day. It also goes a step further by linking this information to events on your calendar.
This means you can see right away that it will probably rain for three of your four days on the hike, or that you might want to find out where everyone has their winter coats before heading out to the family for Thanksgiving.
The feature itself can be customized, so you don’t need to use it with all of your calendars or all of your events, just such as a soccer game that you need to be aware of.
It won’t change the weather, but it can help you stay aware of how the weather will affect you.
