Save Money on Your Cinema Subscription by Watching Movies on Weekdays Only
This week, Sinemia, a competitor to MoviePass, announced new discounted subscription plans for people who want to use the service only to watch movies on weekdays. Weekday-only pricing plans are about 20% below the company’s standard price and start at $ 3.99. They can only be used from Monday to Thursday.
If you’re not familiar with Sinemia, the service works in a similar way to MoviePass, in that you pay a set rate every month to watch a predetermined number of movies. Unlike MoviePass, with Sinemia you can purchase these tickets in advance at any ticketing site and select seats. Family plans are also available. In many cinemas, you will also have to pay a credit card processing fee of about $ 1 per ticket when you book.
I have a subscription to a service that I bought through a separate promotio for my friend’s $ 9 a month and I can go see one movie together and we get a $ 25 restaurants.com gift voucher every month. I only use my Sinemia subscription to purchase tickets at our local Alamo Project House, which I also receive bonuses for, so while I haven’t used any of these Restaurants.com certificates, I’ve earned a free popcorn or two along the way.
Here are the new subscription plans for weekdays only:
• $ 3.99 per month (up from the standard $ 4.99 price) – One ticket to any movie per month.
• $ 8.99 per month (up from the standard $ 10.99 price) – Three tickets to any movie per month.
• $ 9.99 per month (up from the standard price of $ 12.99) – Two tickets to any movie per month, including 3D, 4D and IMAX.
• $ 14.99 per month (instead of the standard price of $ 17.99) – three tickets to any movie per month, including 3D, 4D, IMAX formats.
• $ 23.99 per month (instead of the standard price of $ 29.99) – One ticket to any movie per day (also known as unlimited) 2D movie tickets.
These promotions are usually short-lived, so if you think this is a great idea, don’t wait too long.
