Pin Video on Screen While Using This App
Unless you have a dual-monitor setup or ultra-wide display, your multitasking options on your PC are limited. It will be more difficult to include YouTube videos while you work, since everything you do in the main window – say, Excel – will be placed on top of what you are trying to watch. And placing two windows side by side won’t look very good either.
Instead, try the Pennywise app for Windows and Mac – yes, named after that scary clown. With it, you can place any website in a separate window, and it will sit on top of everything you do. This will now allow you to watch YouTube videos (or Twitch, or ESPN, or whatever) while you work, fish in World of Warcraft, or perform any other tedious task on your PC.
Setting up Pennywise is easy. Install it and you have a big creepy looking screen with scary clown face and input.
Enter or paste the URL and it will load in the Pennywise window – that’s all.
If you want to go see something else, just enter a new URL into Pennywise. And if you click the gear icon in the upper right corner, you can also adjust the window’s opacity – in case you want to see your game a little more, but don’t want to completely lose your favorite stream.
If you want to go crazy – at least on Windows, where I tested the app – you can even run multiple instances of Pennywise at the same time. Assuming your display is large enough, you should be able to turn it into a virtual version of one of these stock trading desktops. You know what I’m talking about:
