How to Watch Mid-Term Results Without a Cable
Happy Election Day America. The 2018 midterm election is here, and if you want to follow something more authoritative than social media, news organizations are moving away from paid access and letting people view the results without having to log in over the cable.
Final polls will not close until 1 am ET (in Alaska), but some election coverage begins as early as 4:30 pm.
ABC
ABC kicks off at 4:30 pm on ABC News Live, which requires no cable entry to access. Watch it on ABC News Live , on the ABC News app, or on Facebook Watch .
Cbs
You can broadcast on the CBSN website for free from 5:00 pm or on the CBS news app.
CNN
CNN will broadcast the results live starting at 5:00 pm, no cable entry required. You can watch it on CNN.com , on CNN’s iOS and Android apps, or on CNNgo on Amazon Fire, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, or Roku.
C-SPAN
You can watch C-SPAN reports for free at C-SPAN.org .
Fox
You can stream Fox News live on FoxNews.com, the mobile app, or Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, or Roku starting at 6:00 PM.
Nbc
Stream NBC coverage on NBCNews.com , MSNBC.com , the NBC news app without login via cable or the broadcaster’s Facebook , Twitter or YouTube channels. You also have the option to watch live coverage on Stay with Us, NBC Shows on Instagram and Snapchat.
New York Times
You can follow the Times’ coverage of election night on her blog , including the infamous igloo. NYT has dropped paid access to election coverage, although you will need to send an email after reviewing five articles . (The LA Times also ditched paid access.)
PBS
PBS will broadcast on Facebook , Twitter and YouTube starting at 8:00 pm.
Washington Post
WaPo will host Election Night Live on their homepage, Snapchat, YouTube, live blogs, and more, starting at 7:00 pm.
