How to Find Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles Using Google Maps
If you have an EV, one of the biggest challenges on the road is finding a charging station. Google has made it easier this week by adding information about EV charging stations to Google Maps.
To find a station near you, simply search the app for “Charging for electric vehicles” or “Charging stations for electric vehicles” in the app. When you do, Google will show you the stations closest to you. It will also show you information about the company where the station is located, the types of ports available, the charging speed, and the number of available charging ports. Specially supports the following types of chargers:
Around the world: Tesla, Chargepoint
USA: SemaConnect, EVgo, Blink.
UK: Chargemaster, Pod Point.
Australia and New Zealand: Chargefox
Like other companies on Google, visitors to the charging site can also leave ratings and reviews, like cans for restaurants, and photos.
This feature is currently being rolled out to Google Maps for iOS and Android. If you don’t have one, make sure your device has the latest version of Google Maps.
