How to Watch the 2018 Emmy Awards

The 2018 Emmy Awards airs Monday night (September 17). The event is streaming live at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles and will air live on both coasts simultaneously, starting at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT.

This year’s event is executive produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels and hosted by SNL co-lead writers Michael Che and Colin Yost. With all of this in mind, we’d expect to see a few other SNL cast members popping up unexpectedly during the show.

Speaking of the show, there are several ways to catch it:

Live

This year’s broadcast is on NBC, which is available free of charge to anyone with a TV and digital antenna, even if they are not subscribers of cable TV. If you have a TV and antenna, this is the easiest option. If you have a TV and don’t have an antenna, now is a good opportunity to buy one . They are very useful, quite cheap and easy to set up yourself.

Streaming

If you don’t have a TV and want to watch online, all major streaming services offer access to NBC in most areas.

So you can see the award-winning shows on Sling TV, Hulu from Live TV, PSVue, and YouTube TV. If you’ve never used any of these services, they all offer a free trial that you can sign up for before Monday’s show and grab it for free.

If you’re ready to make a purchase, Sling offers the cheapest option of the bunch with Blue for $ 25 a month. The Blue package is only offered by NBC in select markets, so make sure yours is one before entering credit card numbers.
