What Area of Knowledge Do You Never Have to Talk About?
Today Ask Reddit users tell each other about that, about what areas of knowledge they would never say in real life . Items include rocket science, serial killers, Pokemon Go metastrategy, NFL (as an expat), and “R-rated” pieces of Roman history. We want to hear the same from Lifehacker readers, but with one twist.
Most editors name what they want to talk about but don’t talk about it . We would like you to do both. Lifehacker readers, what area of expertise do you usually not discuss and which of the facts, opinions or ideas in this area do you like best?
We – I – will begin. I’m a big fan of casual multiplayer games like Agar.io and Slither.io and it disappoints me that they barely get media coverage for video games. I consider myself a “serious casual gamer” – I enjoy exploring and exploring games deeply, but time and mobility often limit me to online and mobile games that I can play here and there without much attention. The io game genre (real-time, instantly connected multiplayer browser games in which each player tries to capture / kill every other player) is casual but deep, especially due to the unexpected behavior of the players. Io games shouldn’t load; they are surprisingly easy on trolls; if you have to quit smoking suddenly, no one is mad at you. And I wish the Internet would talk about them as (and deeply) as we talk about Fortnite or No Man’s Sky.
