How to Broadcast the Perseid Meteor Shower Tonight
The best summer press shower will take place tonight. If you’ve been gearing up for a big event only to find that the weather near you isn’t ideal for watching the skies tonight, Slooh’s online observatory will give you a webcast where they will stream the main event live.
The stream officially kicks off at 5PM ET and you can watch it in the embedded video below or directly on Slooh’s website here .
As an added bonus (or some consolation for not seeing this in person), there will be astronomers in attendance to answer questions that viewers tweet using the #Slooh hashtag.
The webcast is scheduled for eight hours, so you can follow it all night and see how things have changed. Astronomers expect to see up to 60 meteors per hour tonight.
