How to Get a Refund From MoviePass for a Friday Night Outage
MoviePass users who tried to watch a movie on Friday night might be surprised that their app didn’t work. Due to an outage on Friday night, a number of users were unable to watch the movie, as a result of which they had to spend money buying a ticket the old fashioned way if they still wanted to go to the movies.
If you had to display your own ticket at the box office on a Friday night, MoviePass offers a refund for customers. To get yours, you’ll need to open the MoviePass app on your phone and then send the company a chat message that includes a complete ticket purchase receipt, as well as the movie title, session times, and theater.
If the outage didn’t affect you (and even if you were hurt), MoviePass also recommends updating the app to the latest version, which the company says is releasing some important stability updates.
