How to Find the Closest Blood Sample on World Blood Donor Day

Every year on June 14th, people around the world will donate blood to commemorate World Blood Donor Day , a celebration designed to raise awareness of the need for blood and to thank all volunteer donors.

Blood transfusion helps save millions of lives every year. As stated on the World Health Organization website, blood donation can help patients with life-threatening conditions live longer, support surgeries, assist emergency response teams after a disaster, and more.

Before considering donating, make sure you are eligible in your country or state, if located in the United States. In most states in America, you will be allowed to donate blood if you are 17 or 16 years old with a guardian and meet certain height and weight requirements, depending on the laws of your state.
