How to Undo That Horrible Thing You Just Sent to Someone on Snapchat
Snapchat today announced a new feature that allows anyone to delete any messages they send in one-to-one or group conversations. In other words, if you’re sending your mom a “beautiful body” message on Snapchat but intend to send it to your beloved friend instead, you can now use Snapchat’s “Clear Chats” feature to avoid the awkwardness.
Previously, users could clear their conversations , but could not undo or delete random messages. With this new option, you can finally delete the regretful message – provided that someone else hasn’t taken the picture (s) of it, and provided that you haven’t sent someone a picture (you can’t delete them) …
Like ? Snapchat message:
- Bring up Snapchat
- Swipe to the chat column where you will see all your recent conversations.
- Select a conversation
- Press and hold a message
- Click Remove.
The feature, which is just starting to roll out to Snapchat users, will alert message recipients when a message in a chat thread has been deleted. However, they will never be able to see what it was if they hadn’t already watched it.
To take advantage of the new feature, make sure you have the latest version of Snapchat for Android or iOS installed. And if you don’t already have delete authority, be a little more careful with what you submit until you get this feature at some point within the next few weeks.
