Keep Track of Your to-Do List With This Menu Bar App
I usually start each work day with a to-do list that I need to do that day. One day something I did in a Notes application, I eventually moved on to using a page in a notebook. As new things come along, I add to that list, end up with a jumbled list with things crossed out and others written in the margin, and inevitably the only thing that accidentally slips through the cracks.
This week I stumbled upon a menu bar app that serves the same purpose as my laptop next to my laptop, but does a lot better at the job. Called the Thought Train , it is designed to be the place where you keep track of what you want to do so that they are not forgotten while you do other tasks.
Because it uses the menu bar, the app is easy to access no matter what you’re working on. To use it, just click the stairs icon at the top of the page and enter your text.
You can add multiple thoughts, archive and delete thoughts, pin thoughts for later, and delete what you are already done with just by checking the box.
When the app is minimized, the tasks you need to complete also scroll to the top of the menu bar marker style, so they’re always at your fingertips. Deleted items go into an archive, which you can view later.
It’s a simple interface, but really useful if you often need to add to your old to-do list.
