Take Your Boards to the Next Level

At this point in our board trial, one of two things has probably happened. Either you have been doing the same bar all the time, maybe you have improved, but you definitely got bored. Or perhaps you’ve followed our advice to shake things up, but you’re not sure if you’re getting better.

Either way, it’s time to take a step back and see how far you’ve come. If you’ve tried different options, go back to that plain old board from day one. Can you hold it for longer? Or is your shape better than before? You will most likely answer yes to one of these questions.

And if you’ve been doing the same thing all the time, definitely try doing something a little different for at least one day. You can try placing the board on a medicine ball as shown in the picture above. You can let your baby climb on top of you. (Tighten your lower back!) Or just try any of the plank options we discussed earlier.
