Why You Shouldn’t Stir Coffee
Disclaimer: This is not so much ” tiny hacker ” – the tag we at Lifehacker use for simple tricks – but “tiny treat”. This is what I do every day and it makes me happy. It doesn’t improve anything other than morning flavor and everyone should try it. (This is an espresso pun.)
So here’s my tiny treat: every morning I pour myself a cup of coffee and add some milk (or any other similar liquid, dairy or non-dairy) and don’t stir . I can watch a beautifulcloud pattern float across my coffee, and I don’t have to worry about how many days in a row I have used this spoon without washing it. Best of all: every sip is different. Sometimes the coffee is almost black, sometimes it is half creamy, and this dynamic flavor is a great way to cheer you up first thing in the morning.
I would venture to say that this is a morning drink, the equivalent of tasting a glass of California Cabernet before and after you let it breathe. Take a sip and think about how it has changed since your last sip. Now you don’t just use coffee to deliver caffeine to your body; you make your brain move and think what is really the best part of waking up.
