These Are the Scariest Netflix Movies Right Now
I love good horrors, and not just because they suit you . If you’re looking for thriller or horror on Netflix, these are the most terrifying movies currently available on the service. Can you handle them?
According to Netflix horror streaming data provided by Edelman Marketing, these films (in no particular order) made viewers turn their backs before they even got to the climax:
- Veronica
- Cabin fever
- Massacre Park
- México Bárbaro
- Piranha
- Raw
- Teeth
- The spell
- Human Centipede 2: Complete Cycle
- Emptiness
- Jerusalem
In particular, the data indicates that the majority of viewers tend to refuse bail after watching about 70% of these films. Admittedly, there are several reasons why someone might stop watching a movie at this point. The film could be too violent, too graphic, or even too silly. But if these films were so lame, people would stop watching much earlier. When you have a buffet with everything you can watch at home, like on Netflix, not many people watch a terrible movie for an hour hoping it will get better. The 70% mark is usually right before the shit tends to hit fans in these types of films, so it’s not the worst indicator that a film is too busy to finish.
I’ve seen most of these films and I can attest that some of them are pretty good for a variety of reasons. Specifically, The Conjuring , Veronica , Teeth and Void I would recommend if you haven’t seen them yet ( also Ritual , which was recently released and not listed ). Cabin Fever , Raw and the rest probably won’t blow your mind (especially the Piranha , which is deliberately mannered), but they are unsettling and fearsome in their own right.
