Many parents spend the winter furiously checking the prediction bar, waiting for the moment in the future when their kids can finally get out instead of watching the same episode of Peppa Pig for the 18th time or asking you, “We have more sparkles? I spilled everything on the carpet. ” Not a Reddit user aggregate_jeff. To help manage his fever at home, this father built a playground in his home.

“It was very cold this winter and the kids spent two weeks in the house,” he writes on Reddit. “There was a lot of poorly contained (and sometimes mildly destructive) energy and it was difficult for them to be in the house without an exit. I decided to do something about it. “

On the DIY Reddit community, aggregate_jeff shared details on how he created this dream play area that features a climbing wall, monkey handrails, swing and punching bag. He used Onshape CAD software for modeling and shared his original designs . Supplies were purchased from Home Depot and Atomik Climbing Holds . Check out full instructions and photos on Reddit.

The play structure was liked by both children and adults. One commentator told DIY dad, “I might be 43, but I’m ready for adoption.”
