How to Make Your Current Android Look Like the yet to Be Announced Pixel 3

Android: The Pixel 3 probably won’t go official until October (when Google usually announces its latest flagship phones), but you can bring a bit of the rumored device to your current Android phone right now. All you need is the latest version of this launcher .

A recent update to the unofficial Pixel 2 launcher copies a small change hidden in the current Pixel 2 software. Discovered by XDA-Developers , this update brings a small but noticeable change to Google’s user interface. The search bar that appears on the phone’s home screen and in the app drawer is split in two, so that the voice command icon becomes a separate button.

This is what it looks like in action. Remember, this is probably one of the many minor tweaks Google will make to the Pixel 3’s software.

To get the new design of the software on your current Android device, all you have to do is download this launcher from the paphonmb site of a senior XDA member. Grab the latest update here , install it on your phone, then open the setup launcher to enable the new feature.

It’s a small change, but hopefully it will hold you back until Google reveals all the new features coming later this week with the Pixel 3 and Android P.
