In April We Make Boards
Dear readers, sorry. When I asked the Lifehacker staff what was missing from our monthly fitness challenge , they replied that we all need to spend a month working on our plank game.
The plank is my least favorite exercise, but I have to admit that they have their pros when it comes to fitness. You can make the board anywhere, such as on the floor of your hotel room, or even (if you don’t mind a few glances) in the middle of your open-plan office. There’s also a clear way to measure progress: How long can you stay put on the first day? I bet you can last longer by the end of the month.
So refresh your memory, how to make the perfect bar , and calculate the time (or when the test today officially begin the first day of the month). After that, try to do at least one plank a day.
Remember, you don’t need to hold the board until you collapse ; it’s okay to do 10 or 30 seconds, or whatever you can do. You are still gaining strength and it will pay off in the end.
