How to Enable YouTube Dark Mode on IOS
Looking at bright screens – especially at night – can cause pain in the buttocks and / or eyes. And it’s hard to resist the temptation of “one more video …” when you’re settling in for the evening. Luckily, Google has just updated the YouTube iOS app to include the same “dark mode” you’ll find on its website, which should make it easier for you to have an evening cat video.
Here’s how to set it up. ( Android users: your version is “coming soon”.)
If you only knew the power of the dark regime
Open the YouTube app on iOS. If you’re lucky, you’ll see a small notification at the bottom of the app that mentions the new “dark” theme and asks if you would like to enable it. To give it a try, just click on “Enable” – and it’s that simple.
If you do not see this notification, or if you want to equip yourMagic Mirror and return to the Light World, click on your image in the upper right corner of the application. From there click on Settings and look for the Dark Theme option under the YouTube heading. Tap the little slider to switch the theme and turn it off like a digital light switch.
If you don’t see the dark theme, make sure you have the latest version of YouTube from the App Store installed.
