Use a Dry Swiffer Cloth to Dust Off Your Records
If you’re a vinyl record owner, you may have noticed that they attract dust, little hairs, and dudes who love to talk about the intricacies of Pet Sounds . I can’t do anything to help with this last one, but I’ve found Swiffer dry wipes to be really great for getting rid of the first two.
This is not a substitute for deep groove cleaning, but if you have a fairly clean blade with just a couple of small fibers or strands of dog hair, a soft, dry, odorless Swiffer will do. free you from these hostile needle bits. Plus, they’re pretty cheap, especially if you buy them in bulk. (I’m sure some Rob Gordon has some vague reason why I shouldn’t do this, but I’ve done it for years and never had a problem.)
