How to Stream Super Bowl Live Even If You’re Not in the US
The Philadelphia Eagles will take part in a live broadcast of the New England Patriots starting Sunday at 6:30 pm ET / 3:30 pm PT at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The game will be streamed live on NBC, so the easiest way to watch it is to simply tune in to your TV via cable or a digital antenna. If you don’t have a TV or can’t get NBC for some reason, there are also several ways to stream a big game to your computer or mobile device.
NBC and NBC Sports App
Usually you have to pay to use NBC’s apps, but for the Super Bowl, the network allows anyone to use them for free. In addition to mobile devices like your phone or tablet, the NBC app is available for a variety of devices: Apple TV, Roku, Android TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, and Xbox One. You should be able to find it for almost any device you intend to watch on, and it’s free. This is the best choice.
If for some reason you are trying to stream using some obscure device, NBC also streams the game on NBC.com and NBCSports.com .
Please be aware that the live stream is likely to lag behind the live stream by a few seconds. This shouldn’t be a big problem, but you can use Twitter and Facebook carefully while browsing to avoid spoilers.
And yes, NBC will be broadcasting ads on the Internet, too.
FuboTV
Fubo is a service that lets you stream and record live soccer on FOX, NBC and CBS. CBS Sports says the service will be streaming the Super Bowl this year. The site offers a free 7-day trial, so in theory you could sign up today and unsubscribe on Monday morning after playing and pay nothing.
NFL Mobile and Yahoo Sports
If you have any problems using NBC apps, both NFL Mobile and Yahoo Sports will also stream the game through their respective apps.
Watch outside the US
If you are not in the United States, you can still play the game, although it does take a little more work. The Verge reports that the Super Bowl will air on BBC One and Sky Sports in England, with live streaming available through the BBC iPlayer app, as well as the BBC Sport and Sky Go apps and websites.
In Canada, you can watch the game on CTV, CTV Two and TSN, as well as on the Internet via the CTV GO app.
