You Can Save Time and Money While Traveling With the New Google Tools
Google Flights is my best helper for finding cheap travel deals , but they didn’t always predict the best times to book, so I also rely on other travel planning tools like Hopper . However, Google has just released several helpful updates to its travel planning package that will make finding cheap travel easier.
If you are already using Google Flights or Google Trips, you will get even more benefits from these new features, including:
Tips on the prices of Google air tickets. Using machine learning technology and historical airfares, Google Flights will now tell you when “prices are below normal” or “prices will no longer fall” when you search for a flight. This feature is available on desktops and mobile devices, so you should now see this option when searching for a flight. Hotel Price Tips: Similarly, when you search for a hotel on Google, you will now get more information about the room rates. Google will tell you if prices are higher than usual or if prices are overpriced due to a local event such as a business conference. Again, the update is available for both desktop and mobile devices.
Hotel Price Tracking : You could track prices using Google Flights, and now you can do it for hotels as well. If you choose to track hotel prices, you will be notified by phone or email when prices change. Right now, this feature is only available on mobile devices, but Google says Desktop is coming soon. Google Trips Discount Feature: If you are using Google Trips, you will now see a new Discount feature that guides you through offers and coupons for local attractions in your destination city. It should be available globally for iOS and Android.
