How to Read the Tarot
Whether you believe in the supernatural or not, it’s interesting to know your condition or read someone else’s. In this video, Arthur Lipp-Bonewits , a professional tarot reader who started at age 12, tells you how to practice reading a deck.
Once you get to know him, tarot reading is great for chatting with friends. Although I am an absolute skeptic and atheist, one of my most vivid memories is when a close friend used tarot to give relationship advice. Without endowing the cards with any supernatural energy, we found them to be an excellent communication tool.
So, as Arthur recommends, read the guide, memorize the cards, create the narrative, and practice with everyone. If you’re good enough at reading people you know, you might even try on people you don’t know.
