Use the Price Tracking Tool to See If This Trade Is Worth Buying on Cyber Monday
Cyber Monday can be a great time to get great discounts on holiday gifts. It can also be a great time to think that you are closing a deal and accidentally paying more for something than you need.
Retailers offer tons of different discounts on Cyber Monday. While some of these may be significant once-in-a-lifetime discounts, others may look like a bargain but don’t really improve the price of an item elsewhere.
So how do you know if you are closing a deal?
There are a number of tools that can give you an idea of not only why you might buy a particular item elsewhere, but also what the historical price of the item might be.
Our favorite is CamelCamelCamel, which tracks prices specifically on Amazon and helps you spot trends and find the best time to shop online.
If you don’t shop on Amazon (or even if you do), another great tool to try is InvisibleHand . It checks what you are buying and lets you know if it can be bought cheaper elsewhere. If you can, he offers a link to a cheaper site. It also displays the price of an item even when the seller is hiding it, which can save you the hassle of putting a bunch of items in your Cyber Monday shopping cart just to determine how much they actually cost.
If you’re not inclined to use any tool, a good old Google search can also be a worthwhile option to try before you bite the bullet with a big purchase, and can often find a better deal on the subject elsewhere.
