Make Your IPhone X Transparent With These Wallpapers

Last week we looked under the hood of the iPhone X with a couple of batteries and a few other surprises. But if you don’t feel like opening your shiny new smartphone, you can still see what’s going on behind the screen thanks to fresh wallpaper from the disassembly experts at iFixit.

How to Get Transparent Wallpaper for iPhone X

All you have to do to set a new wallpaper is open the iFixit blog post on your iPhone and scroll down to the desired image. There is a regular photograph of all equipment under the display or an x-ray style image to choose from.

Then click on the photo to see it in full resolution and save it to your phone. Then go to your iPhone’s settings, select “Wallpaper” and then “Choose a new wallpaper.” One option would be your recent photos, where you will find the image you just uploaded.

Apple offers two styles for all wallpapers: Stationary or Perspective. The former acts like a regular wallpaper, while the latter moves slightly when you tilt your iPhone for effect. Both are great for this wallpaper, but iFixit recommends the Still version.

Finally, set your new wallpaper as your lock screen (it won’t work as your home screen if covered with app icons). Now let’s see if you can trick a friend into thinking you have a truly transparent iPhone X.
