Save Tweets in a Timeline of up to 140 Characters With This Chrome Extension
I liked Twitter better, when everyone has 140 characters. That’s the whole point of Twitter: brevity, conciseness, a strong editorial hand at the helm. So I didn’t like the company’s announcement that now all users are getting 280 characters, which I suppose will cause some sloppiness in expressions – a slippery slope straight to the logo.
Here are the guys at Slate who developed a Chrome extension that automatically shrinks overly detailed tweets to the original 140. That’s the Twitter equivalent of slamming someone’s mouth with your palm:
