You Can Now Add Multiple Stops to Your Uber Ride
When you’re heading home from a party with friends, using Uber often makes sense. Until now, however, you had to verbally inform the driver that you were going to make several stops and then enter a new address every time someone got out of the car. This process works, but it is usually very frustrating for both you and the driver.
According to Mashable , starting today, you can add up to three different stops in the Uber app for a single ride, so your driver just knows where you and your partner want to go, without lengthy route negotiations.
Adding multiple stops is pretty straightforward and intuitive. When you enter the first address in the Where To? field at the top of the page, you just need to click the + sign inside the field to add another address and another one.
Once added, your driver will make stops in the order in which they were added to the app. This means that you and your friends need to figure out which order makes sense before you start adding addresses to the app, just like you would (hopefully) point out directions in a regular taxi.
Addresses can be added or removed while you are in the middle of a trip (although that sounds like a quick way to annoy your driver) and they will update in real time with your driver’s directions.
And just like before, you can also share the ride in the app with your friends, so you all share the cost.
This feature requires the latest version of the Uber app. If you don’t see this option, try updating your access app (the update will be rolled out to all users over the next week).
