You Can Now Control Your Chromecast With Google Voice Assistant on Your Phone
Now you can finally (finally!) Use Google Voice Assistant to control your Chromecast. Android Police reports that Google finally unveiled the feature this week.
This feature works with music and video, and you can tell which Chromecast in your home you want to play your music or video on. For example, you can say “Play video on TV in bedroom.”
This function allows you not only to simply play something, but also to control the playback. So, you can also ask Google Assistant to skip the song, turn up the volume, or pause the melody for a few minutes.
All of this was previously available for Google Home, but this is the first time it’s available for Google Voice Assistant on your phone or tablet.
Android Police notes that this feature is being rolled out gradually. So, if you don’t have it yet, try again in a few days.
