Uber Will Tell You If You Can’t Drive
When you rate your Uber driver less than 5 stars, the app always asks what went wrong. Drivers are constantly being sent anonymous feedback about where they screwed up and why they might be having trouble maintaining a perfect 5-star rating. Now drivers will be able to do the same with passengers. Starting today, Uber allows drivers to indicate their reasons for choosing to give a passenger less than 5 stars.
Here are the possible reasons why you might get a score below 5:
- Waiting time
- Patience
- Number of riders
- Attitude
- A new route is required
- Another
We all have bad days, and if you get punished for something with just one driver, you will never hear about it. However, if you encounter the same violation within a 30-day period, you will be notified of what the problem is, with the hope that you will fix it before getting into your next car.
The opportunity for rider feedback is always there, but it’s really the first time riders see it.
The Verge notes that the move is part of Uber’s ” 180 days of change ” apology. Other recent driver-friendly changes include the ability to start tipping drivers and give drivers more flexibility when canceling trips.
Along with today’s passenger review announcement, Uber is also adding a new flat rate per driver-passenger UberPool. Billiard drivers are a problem for drivers: they are more stressful, with less costs. Pickup rates (which appear to be passed on to customers) will now be charged for rides to the pool. They vary by city and range from $ 0.50 in Miami to $ 1 for a trip to San Francisco.
Pool routes will now also be optimized to contain fewer corners, and riders will be prompted to navigate to the nearest street corner rather than waiting on the doorstep for a ride.
