IOS 11 Update Fixes Bugs, Email Support for Outlook Users
Having trouble sending office email on iPhone? You downloaded iOS 11 , right? Of course, there are several updates inside , but this is also the first version of a new operating system, which means bugs. Basically, a software issue in iOS 11 prevents Exchange mail servers from sending and receiving messages, which affects Outlook, Office 365, and Exchange Server 2016 users. The good news is that Apple’s latest iOS 11.0.1 update fixes the issue, and also some other unspecified bugs.
Users of mail services hosted on a Microsoft server were greeted with the message “Unable to send mail. The message was rejected by the server “after downloading the first version of the new iOS. Certainly not a pleasant experience. Since then, Apple has resolved the issue on its support page where users are encouraged to upgrade to iOS 11.0.1. We generally recommend performing software updates via iTunes and a wired connection, but by going to Settings> General> Software Update, you can also update the OS from your device.
While it has likely fixed a few bugs and Outlook and Exchange users can send emails again, iOS 11 still feels a bit underwhelmed . Reordering apps is a mistake, and the basic shortcuts in the revamped Control Center are n’t as useful as they used to be. If you’ve waited until the first bug fix update, please update your device right away. Just check first if it’s compatible . I don’t want you to have high hopes.
