How to Turn Off App Rating Requests in IOS 11
iOS: After hours of playing your favorite tower defense game, an unexpected pop-up can disrupt your concentration and end your previously flawless run through a difficult level. Thankfully, one of the many updates in iOS 11 is intended to limit the number of pop-ups and interruptions from app developers looking for positive feedback. A new option lets you get rid of the dreaded app rating request (or, as I like to call it, the beggar’s box).
Redditor SmearMeWithPasta shared an iOS 11 discovery that is quite easy to disable, relieving you of your app review responsibilities.
Go to Settings> iTunes & App Store and turn on In-App Ratings & Review. IOS users who are sympathetic to the developer cause can leave it on – after all, ratings and reviews help developers understand what is going well (and what is not) with each update. Apple has also taken steps to prevent apps from disobeying your updated review request settings, and is now forcing developers to use an Apple-approved review request feature that limits the number of times apps can request a rating. I suppose be grateful for the little favors.
