If You Can’t Afford a Therapist, Try These Mental Health Resources
If you have mental health problems but cannot afford (or find the time for) one-on-one therapy, there are many alternative options available to help you connect with a licensed therapist. There are also many personal care resources that can complement therapy. Writer Tiffany Howard posts a list of them on this Twitter thread –here’s the thread, formatted into an easy-to-read list .
Resources include an open path therapist team that lists low-cost therapists ($ 30-50 per session) and the secular self-help organization Recovery International . Howard also cites several mental health podcasts and online forms of therapy, such as the Better Help for online therapists.
