This App Will Help You Find a Place for Your Next Trip

Hopper is a useful app for viewing flight offers , but they also want to be able to predict where you might want to go next time. Their new Flex Watch feature acts like a digital travel agency, offering personalized travel advice to save you money.

Using an AI-powered recommendation algorithm, Flex Watch can arrange vacation for you when you don’t have a specific destination or specific dates. It will alert you to flight offers based on your preferences and the flexibility of possible travel dates, allowing you to save around 40% on average. Hopper’s launch announcement gives a quick example of how this might work :

“For example, a user browsing flights to Maui might get a recommendation that a similar destination, Honolulu, is selling for $ 200 less on their dates! We quickly realized that our users are very flexible if that means they will save money. “

First, you specify how flexible you are by entering the month or months in which you can potentially travel. Then you choose the ideal length of the trip ( which should be at least eight days ) and choose the locations you want to go to. It can be a very general meaning, such as “anywhere,” or you can narrow it down to continents, geographic regions, countries, states, or cities.

Once you’ve set everything up, you can flip through the Flex Watch destination suggestions with explanations of why they’re available now or in the future. If you swipe up, you will see all the current offers for that destination and an overview of which months are the cheapest to travel there. After that, all you have to do is wait. Hopper will continue to scan in real time a stream of 10-15 billion flight prices every day and notify you when it finds a flight that matches your specifications.

And over time, Hopper assumes that their AI will learn and get smarter based on your likes and dislikes. If you’d like to try this for yourself, Flex Watch should be available in the iOS version of the Hopper app and will be coming to Android soon.
