In New York Times Magazine, Teffy Brodesser-Ackner attends the Obesity Society’s annual conference:
I watched a video of a new type of retractor that will make it easier to hold the open belly skin while part of the belly is cut out and sutured, because you won’t be able to eat that much if your belly gets smaller. I watched a man showing a model of a balloon that you insert into a patient’s stomach, which would take up volume so that she would not be so hungry, and which would later be removed as soon as her behavior changed.
