Google Can Now Remove Leaked Medical Records From Search Results
If there is something on the Internet that you don’t like, usually Google does not remove it from the search results. If you complain, though, Google will remove web pages that contain your bank account numbers and other sensitive information. And recently they added medical records to the list of things that they will delete upon request .
This is important because your medical record could be stolen or leaked. For example, an Indian laboratory accidentally found the test results of 43,000 people . I hope you never have to use this feature of Google’s policy, nor the clause on revenge pornography they added in 2015. But, at least for now, if your medical records (or nude images) hit the Internet, you have the opportunity to wreak havoc on control.
