This Is the Best Simple Image Conversion App
If you’ve ever needed to upload one or two images or deal with a scanned document, you know about all the problems associated with converting and how finicky sites with different file types are.
Converting scanned images to PDF requires either some image editing know-how or a trip to an online conversion site where your data is uploaded to god knows where and converted for you. It is not entirely straightforward and definitely unsafe.
To prevent your data from being sent to unknown third parties, use the Mac Alchemy app. It does the conversion for you, converting several types of image files to PDF, JPG and PNG.
It’s on the menu bar, where when clicked, it opens a drag-and-drop window. You can also access it directly from your keyboard by pressing ⌘ + Shift + 8. From there, you can add multiple images of different file types and choose whether you want to convert them to JPG or PNG files, or combine photos into one PDF.
It only handles a few file types at the moment, although you will be able to convert multiple images to one GIF as Alchemy will add more supported file types in the future. It is an open source application, so you can follow its development on its Github page as well .
