Will It Be Sous Vide? Let’s Pick a Different Theme!

HelloSous Vide fans, and welcome back to another session on theme selection forWill It Sous Vide? , a weekly column where I do whatever you want with my immersion circulator.

We’ve had a lot of fun lately, first with blood sausage and then corned beef , and – although I loved every moment of it – I think I would like to try a fruit or vegetable situation. … Some ideas:

  • Some kind of root vegetable: I’ve heard that carrots are really great at making sous vide, but it would be fun to try turnips or parsnips.
  • Apple pie filling: Then we could fill the ice cream cans of pie filling and be happy.
  • Daal: I’m still rooting for this spicy lentil dish. (Please leave your favorite daal recipe if you have a specific recipe you want me to try.)
